Q&A

By Ilona Kauremszky

Q: How much can I pack if I take a WestJet flight at the end of December? I just got a deal on airfare to the Bahamas.

A: It seems these days every carrier has a different weight allowance and that allowance frequently changes. It's always good to check a carrier's website for the most up to date information.

WestJet has recently launched its first direct international service to Nassau, Bahamas flying to Lynden Pindling International Airport, the largest airport in the Bahamas. This airport was formally called the Nassau International Airport, but changed its name July 6, 2006.

At press time, each WestJet fare-paying passenger was entitled to bring two carry-on items not exceeding 10kg (22 lbs) each, and two checked-in bags with a maximum weight of 27 kg (60 lbs) and a maximum size of 157 cm.
