Q&A

By Ilona Kauremszky

Q: Do you have details on a wolf program in British Columbia?

A: Northern Lights Wildlife Centre promotes bear and wolf conservation and has two interpretive centres located in British Columbia. The newest centre opened this year at the golf and ski resort, Panorama Mountain Village which is situated in the picturesque Blaeberry Valley in Invermere B.C.

Here you can view resident grey wolves Moab and Maya in a unique interpretive setting open year round. The interpretive talks take place right at the fence. The other Northern Lights Wildlife Centre is located high up in Golden, B.C. where the elevation is around 2,600 feet above sea level.

The address is 1745 Short Road and really is a short drive from Lake Louise which is 79km east. Itís a unique opportunity to see, photograph and learn more about wolves. For more details visit www.panoramaresort.com or call 1-877-377-WOLF (9653)
