Q: I haven't flown on a plane for awhile but will in the next few weeks. I'll be vacationing in the Caribbean. Are there any health tips you can provide?

A: Since you'll be holidaying in a sunnier tropical climate, remember to drink more fluids than usual. This measure is to combat dehydration. Also, try to refrain from undergoing lots of physical activity during morning and evening rush hours as air pollution levels tend to be higher.

If you're planning on swimming in the ocean, the undertows can be dangerous. Don't swim alone. Instead, opt for the poolside at the resort.

Lastly, once you've reached your vacation spot, it's great to loosen your muscles. So a little exercise goes a long way. You'll be in a better mood to start your activities.
