Q&A

By Ilona Kauremszky

Q: Are there still tickets available for the Daytona 500ís anniversary race next year?

A: Depending on your pocketbook, tickets are available for the 50th running of the world's most famous stock car race, the Daytona 500 taking place at the Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, February 17, 2008. If you wish to get your hands on cheaper seats, ticket agents say they are going fast.

At press time the superstretch section is nearly booked with limited seats available at the Lund grandstand priced at $US99. For the budget conscious your best bet is to consider purchasing a two-day Superstretch package between $US150 and $US230 which covers the NASCAR Busch Series Race now known as the Camping World 300 including the NASCAR cup practice on Saturday, February 16th with the 50th running of Daytona 500 on Sunday.

For purchasing tickets to the 50th running of the Daytona 500 phone the ticket office at toll-free 1-800-PITSHOP between Monday and Sunday from 9am until 9pm. You can also purchase tickets online at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com.

When race fans reserve their tickets to the Camping World 300 presented by Chevrolet NASCAR Busch Series race or the prestigious 50th running of the Daytona 500 they will also take a piece of history home with them. Race fans will receive a special collectible Daytona 500 photo for each event they have purchased a ticket. The photos commemorate defining moments in the history of the Daytona 500.
