Q&A

By Ilona Kauremszky

Q: Are there any maps from Ireland that focus on food routes? We are planning a trip in the new year and I was particularly interested in exploring some of the Irish culinary places.

A: The Four Seasons Dublin is certainly for the chi-chi crowd but anyone who enjoys good food will be happy to taste the luxury venue’s delicacies. Over at their elegant dining room, Seasons Restaurant, the cuisine focuses on contemporary European with the best local Irish produce.

You can dine on char grilled Irish beef, breast of Guinea fowl and West Cork scallops. For off-the-beaten path treats, there’s a web site called GoodFoodIreland.ie that packs in a smorgasbord of culinary information. The scoop here is that this November the food network will launch a brand new look.

Organizers say along with the new and improved website, Good Food Ireland will offer a new Good Food Ireland Touring Map of Ireland. Currently Good Food Ireland has over 25 food members from such cities as Dublin, Cork, Kerry and Waterford.
