Q&A

By Ilona Kauremszky

Q: Our daughter loves reading and writing short stories. Shes completing grade 10 this year and my husband and I were thinking of sending her off on a holiday where she can hone her writing skills. Do you know of anything that might not be so far away? Id like to keep her in the country if possible.

A: This summer, historical Liverpool in Nova Scotia will be the ultimate back drop for writers who wish to hone their craft. Budding authors will be able to meet up with likeminded souls for a variety of writing workshops.

Creative Holidays Nova Scotia has been offering this program for five years. Organizers say Be warned. It is intense. Twelve hours of modules and assignments and lively discussions over lunch.
