Q: Is there such a place where a number of states hold a fair?

A: In New England, there’s the annual Big E. Considered the largest fair here, it incorporates six states and has been in operation for 94 years. Located in West Springfield Mass., the Big E occurs over 17 days during peak fall foliage season and includes such activities as a circus, kitchen theater, farm-a-rama, a horse show, ox and horse pulling and more.

Make sure you walk on the Avenue of States. Here fair goers walk through New England passing by six full sized replicas of the state’s capital buildings. This year’s Big E is scheduled September 15-October 1, 2006 and is about 1.5 hour drive from Boston.
