Q: For our spring trip to Portugal, we’ve got the itinerary planned as we will be going with a tour group. I don’t drink coffee and was wondering about tea there. Could you please let me know whether tea is available?

A: Not only is tea available but Europe’s only tea plantation is Gorreana which is found in the mild climate of the island of São Miguel in the Azores. The reason this location is such a hot bed for tea is due to the climate which contributes to the tea’s outstanding flavor.

Orange Pekoe and Hysson, a form of green tea are popular to the island. For more details you can visit
