Q&A

Q: While we're not interested in going to see the scenic caves around Blue Mountain, we were wondering if they were still open at this time of year?

A: Althought the scenic caves at Scenic Caves Nature Adventures are closed for the season, reopening in May, you can still enjoy the 500 acred property that cuts into some beautiful snowcovered forests where there are 200 year old oaks.

Winter activities are in full swing so strap on those cross-country skis or try on a pair of snowshoes as you travel through 16km of powder white groomed trails. Scenic Caves Nature Adventures owner and eco buff Rob Thorburn has plenty of cross country skis and snow shoes for rental.

For more details on times and rates, contact the Scenic Caves Nordic Centre by calling 705-446-0256 or by logging onto www.sceniccaves.com. They are located at Scenic Caves Rd in The Blue Mountains 10 km west of Collingwood, along Mountain Rd.
