Q&A

By Ilona Kauremszky

Q: I am a widowed senior. I would like to know of any groups or organizations that cater to seniors. In the past I found that a number of companies were for match making only which I am not interested at this time.

A: There are a number of tour operators specializing in senior travel. Eldertreks.com geared for the fifty-plus traveler doesnít charge a single supplement if you donít mind sharing a room. Meanwhile Probus Club (www. probus.org ) offers seniors many of whom are singles a variety of group travel. In this situation, singles too are paired up to avoid paying a single supplement fee.

SeniorTours.ca specializes in senior travel and cruise companies like Holland America and other smaller cruise lines often offer single rates which are not exorbitant.
